Turning 'What If' into 'How To'
We specialize in building the things you can't find in a store.

About Us

At Purple Shark Designs, we don't believe in "cookie-cutter."

Whether we are performing live on-site engraving for Maker’s Mark, creating custom tags for The Memorial Tournament, or fabricating interactive "Quest Maps" for the TagaBrew and the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, our goal remains the same: to build the thing you didn't think was possible.

We specialize in bridging the gap between a "What if?" and a finished masterpiece. From precision-engineered beer tap handles to brand-specific event pieces, we take great pleasure in crafting high-quality, niche products that you simply won't find in a store.

Purple Shark Designs was built for the dreamers—the business owners who need their brand to stand out on a crowded tap line, and the individuals seeking a one-of-a-kind gift that tells a story.

If you can dream it, we can build it. Welcome to the Dream Lab.

More Than a Logo: A Family Legacy

People often ask, "Why the Purple Shark?" The answer is woven into the history of my family.

The name is a nod to fond memories in the car with my boys—a bond over the movie Finding Nemo and the iconic shark, Bruce. The color purple is a tribute to my mother’s favorite shade, and if you look closely at the shark in our logo, you’ll see sergeant stripes—a salute to my father’s service as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.

At Purple Shark Designs, we don’t just build products; we build things meant to last, fueled by the values of family, service, and the joy of a shared story. Every piece that leaves the workshop carries that signature of pride.

And when I’m not in the Lab or the workshop? You’ll likely find me at the beach—still scanning the waves, always looking for sharks.

A lot of people find me through my custom beer tap handles—and I love making them—but the 'Shark' in the name represents something else: constant movement and evolution. I don't have a catalog because I don't make 'cookie-cutter' items.

My shop is where your 'what-if' ideas become real, regardless of the scale. Whether you need a simple run of custom keychains or a deeply involved memorial piece or complicated tap handle, I thrive on the challenge. If you can dream it, I can probably build it.
